Every singer has an A4 folder of songs they bring to rehearsal, but now they can have all of their lyrics with them all the time on their iPhone. Additionally, you can create setlists of songs which can be edited and reordered. Setlists and individual songs can be shared with the rest of the band via email, iMessage, Airdrop, or printing them out.

This app displays your formatted lyrics, allowing you to avoid searching online for other people's versions of songs. Lyrics can be created in Pages, Word, PDF, RTF, or TXT format on your computer and easily transferred to your phone using the iTunes file transfer system or a file manager app on your device. Originally designed for singers, PDF scores look impressive, making it suitable for the whole band.

My Lyric Book not only stores your lyrics and setlists but also allows songs to be tagged with a tempo for the built-in metronome or linked to tracks in your iTunes library. You can even send and receive MIDI patch changes, facilitating easier song selection and keyboard programming.

If all band members are using the app, synchronization is possible so that the band leader can select songs and have them automatically appear on everyone's screens. Each band member can view their own parts as customized on their devices.

Your lyrics look optimal on an iPad, but an iPhone or iPod offers sufficient screen space for displaying lyrics conveniently on the go. The app supports Airturn BT-105 or Pageflip Cicada pedals for easy lyric scrolling.

Lyrics are not included with the App; it displays lyrics you've already prepared.

Handy Hints:

• You can swipe to advance to the next song or return to the previous one.
• You can email songs to yourself as attachments.
• If auto-rotation is bothersome, remember you can disable it in preferences.
• In preferences, ensure you enable song deletion to prevent accidental wipes during a gig.
• To rename a setlist, simply click on it while in edit mode.

1. Connect your device to iTunes (PC) or the Mac Finder.
2. Select your device in the left-hand bar.
3. Select the files tab.
4. Expand the My Lyric Book App in the File sharing area.
5. Drag and drop your files into the area labeled Documents.
